Find inspiration in paintings that tell a story of life.

At Victoria Fici Studio, we pride ourselves on our unique artistic vision that blends creativity with emotion. Our artwork reflects a deep understanding of the world around us, aiming to inspire and provoke thought. From coastal scenes and intimate figurative works to vibrant still lives, each painting explores the subtle interplay of light, color, and emotion.

Her paintings often begin with careful observation - moments on a beach, a still life staged in natural light, or figures captured in a fleeting interation. Working primarily in oils, she combines classical painting techniques with contemporary composition to create immersive scenes that draw the viewer into the environment.

About the artist:
Victoria Fici is an American artist who primarily works with oil paints to create paintings of cherished memories and portraits that capture the subjects beautifully.
“My work explores the way light shapes memory and atmosphere. I am drawn to moments that might otherwise pass unnoticed – the warmth of evening light on stone or a building, reflection across water, the quiet presence of a figure in space. These moments hold a sense of stillness and emotional weight that I try to capture through oil paint.
My process begins with observation and structure. I often build paintings through tonal underpainting before gradually layering color through glazing and opaque passages. This approach allows light to move through the paint surface and creates the depth and luminosity that I seek in my work. My plein-air paintings are more spontaneous. Ultimately, I want the viewer to feel as though they can step into the painting-to experience the air, the light and the quiet narrative combined within the scene. Perhaps they were there at one time and are recalling the fond memories.”
Victoria is not limited to one genre as she paints what inspires her. Portraits, figurative, architectural and landscapes all combine to make her work have creative range.
Victoria resides in Belmont, MA with her family and dog. She is a retired CPA and is returning to painting after a long hiatus to work in accounting and finance and to raise her active children. She is mostly self-taught and has taken art lessons at the Danforth Art Museum and the New Art Center in Newton.
